The perfectly named Sea Otter Cottage lies before an immaculate waterfront in the Scottish Highlands, filled with ample opportunity to view unique wildlife and enjoy rural adventure, not to mention the most breath-taking sunsets! Spectacular scenery awaits as you enter this gorgeous property, perfect for a group of couples or a family of four looking to break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Venture out to the beautiful surrounding views from this cottage, nestled in the quaint village of Kentallen, enjoying a peaceful stroll among the glistening waters of Loch Linnhe, or head out on the Oban to Fort William cycle path (right outside the front door) before returning back and visiting the Hollytree Hotel & Swimming Pool next door to the property, boasting a pool, hot tub, sauna and delicious restaurant.
Be welcomed by the charming kitchen/diner, offering a homely space where you can throw together home-cooked meals in the spacious kitchen, filled with fantastic amenities before sitting down at the dining table, catching up over an evening of wine and chatter.
After everything's been cleared away, snuggle up on one of the plush sofas in front of the cracking multi-fuel stove, letting a mug of tea warm up your hands as you decide on a film for the evening.
From here, you can access a lovely open plan garden, an ideal spot to dine alfresco or enjoy a morning coffee.
Also on the ground-floor is a handy shower room, great for coming in and cleaning up after a muddy exploration before heading upstairs to change, whilst a second bathroom rests upstairs with a sumptuous bath to unwind in.
Withdraw to one of two beautiful bedrooms, both offering king-size beds which can be made to twins if needed, and exceptional views of the far-reaching waterfront and rugged mountains.
Sit out on the sunny front patio enjoying splendid views of the amazing waterfront, sipping on a cold beverage as you try and spot close-up sea life including porpoises, while the sea otters come right into the bay opposite! Why not wander down to The Hollytree pub with the group, which is a mere 10 minute walk down the cycle track, so you won't have to worry about walking back on the main road afterwards.
Ballachulish is home to several shops for you to buy any essentials, as well as welcoming pubs where you can meet the locals and enjoy a tipple of traditional Scottish whisky.
Explore the beauty of the outstanding Scottish Highlands, taking a ferry from Loch Leven over to remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula, filled with hidden gems and wildlife at Sanna Bay, magical forestry and rugged moorlands.
