Once you’ve travelled along the tracks of the main country roads, you will approach the quiet village roads of Martham where you can find your superb terraced holiday cottage.
Nestled in a restful residential area, Coorie Cottage is a delightful place ideal for a getaway with your partner and friends or for a small family to enjoy a beach and Broads holiday at any time of the year.
This 18th century property is full of character and proudly retains original features.
The main door leads into the sitting room, here you can find the perfect resting spot where you can unwind before unpacking your belongings upstairs, light the wood burning stove and recline into the plush seating area for a minute or two before exploring the rest of the dwelling.
Next to the sitting room you can find the dining room with ample seating to accommodate the whole party, providing you with the perfect spot to gather in the morning and enjoy some home-cooking and good company.
Attached to the dining room is a modest galley style kitchen fit with everything you could need to enjoy your self-catered stay including a washer-dryer and dishwasher.
The kitchen also boasts a stable door leading to the garden so you can let in the fresh Norfolk air .The ground floor is also home to a bathroom with lavish roll top bath, ideally positioned to enjoy a soak and glass of bubbly after a days’ exploring.
Once you’ve explored the ground floor head upstairs to discover where you’ll be sleeping. Here you can find a double room boasting a large en-suite shower room and a king size bed where you can slip into the Egyptian cotton sheets and enjoy a perfect night’s sleep. Across the landing is a twin room with a small double and a single bed also with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets.
When you’ve unpacked into the ample storage space, head out to discover the delightful village of Martham with its shops which include excellent local butchers, two pubs – one with restaurant, quaint thatched roof fish & chip shop and Chinese takeaway. With a village green, duck pond and a park close by the beautiful ancient church it, offers an ideal place to spend your holiday with all the amenities you could need to keep everyone entertained.
A lovely 15 minute walk past the church and open fields takes you to Martham Staithe on the River Thurne where you can hire a day boat or enjoy a days fishing. Walk along the bank to enjoy canoe hire or a stand-up paddle boarding lesson.
There are various country and river walks to be found from your doorstep in addition to an abundance of cycle routes.
The Norfolk Broads is the perfect place for bird watching, cycling, walking and simply appreciating magnificent scenery.
Hop in the car and head to the dog friendly beach at Winterton-on-Sea for a stroll along the sand and dunes where you can grab a cup of tea.
Head a little further to Sea Palling beach to enjoy a day of sun-soaking, ice cream indulging and amusements to entertain all the family. Take a short trip to National Trust Horsey Windpump and onto Horsey Beach where you will see grey seals living in their natural environment.
Slightly further afield you can find the bustling area of Great Yarmouth, home to the Pleasure Beach amusement park, SEA LIFE Centre, a vast array of museums and its own beach. This resort town guarantees hours of fun for all tastes and ages.

16 Black Street is a delightful semi-detached cottage located within a peaceful part of Norfolk. There are two bedrooms within the property; a double with an en-suite bathroom and a king-size (zip/link, can be twin upon request), as well as holding a ground-floor shower room, making the cottage suitable to sleep up to four people. On the ground-floor you can also find a galley kitchen, a dining room, and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. To the back of the property there is an enclosed private garden via a shared drive. , safe for both the children and pet, as well as ample parking both roadside and off-road. 16 Black Street is a fabulous cottage for two couples or a small family to enjoy the wonders of the coast of Norfolk. Please note: Access to private enclosed garden is via a shared drive.

My partner and I loved our stay at Coorie Cottage. The property is lovely. Beautifully furnished, making a cosy retreat when the weather turned. We had a wonderful stay in Martham exploring the broads and surrounding towns and villages. I’ve recommended Coorie Cottage already!
