This two bedroomed chocolate box cottage has so much charm and character. Admire the beamed ceiling and exposed stonework in the sitting room as you unwind on the corner sofa. Enjoy the peace of seclusion of the lawned garden at the front of the cottage or on the patio area on warm summer’s evening. Leading onto a patio garden there is a lower sitting room with another TV and Wii console for games.
Grey stone thatched cottages in this beautiful location are bordered by winding village lanes. The village is well served with Craig's Farm Dairy where you can buy fresh cow’s milk and their speciality ice-cream - arguably the best in the county! Adjacent to Lychgate Cottage is St Osmund's Church, sections of which date back to 1200, a must visit location to marvel at local history.
Keen ramblers and walkers alike are spoilt with the choice of discovering the surrounding coast at Ringstead and Osmington Mills. In the height of the summer the pebbly beach at Ringstead is often quiet. The Smugglers at Osmington Mills is a famous hostelry serving good food.
Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are around a 10 mile drive and the award-winning beach at Weymouth is around 6 miles, perfect for indulging in sand castle making on the golden sandy beach or enjoying an ice cream at one of the many beach side cafes, making a perfect day out.

Lychgate Cottage is a charming thatched detached two bedroom cottage in the village of Osmington in Dorset. The property has a full fitted light and airy kitchen and has the bonus of two sitting rooms, one with a dining area and the other has patio doors leading to the patio garden with furniture. Upstairs there is 1 x king-size and 1 x twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. Lychgate cottage in Osmington village is a beautiful thatched cottage for your coastal break. Please note; the path leading to the cottage is rocky and uneven. The property has a typical narrow staircase. Both of these will need to be considered when booking this property especially for those with mobility issues.
Note: Please note gardener will attend property every two weeks between March - Oct and access will be required to garden.

It’s a very picturesque cottage in a beautiful village. Very safe garden and ideally placed for touring the Jurassic coast. The bed linen was spotless and the shower was excellent.
