This detached, stone-built farm-house sits next to the owner’s home on the slopes of the Tanat Valley in Llangynog, Powys, North Wales.
This spacious house offers comprehensive holiday accommodation with traditional features merged with modern touches, ideal for family get togethers or for friends/groups in search of wonderful walking and mountain biking facilities near the Snowdonia National Park. Set in a beautiful location at the foot of the Berwyn Mountain Range, this Llangynog holiday house offers spectacular views from every room.
The full-sized snooker room with bar and entertaining area makes it perfect for year-round use.
The first floor has 4 bedrooms (one being a family suite) sleeping a total of 9 people and the 2nd floor with two spacious bedrooms sleeps a total of 6 people.
In addition there is a games room with pool table, for children and teenagers to 'chill out' in.
The patio is ideal for wining and dining in the sunshine, or simply absorbing the wonderful sights and tranquil atmosphere. Within the immediate area of this Llangynog cottage you can enjoy scenic walking and bike trails leading right from the doorstep, whilst the especially brave can experience the buzz of the nearby downhill Revolution Bike Park or relax at either two of the pubs in the main village which is a 15 minute stroll door to door.
This delightful Llangynog farm-house is an ideal base from which to explore all of Mid and North Wales, including Lakes Bala and Vyrnwy, the towns of Oswestry, Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Llangollen and the historic city of Chester.
Take a walk over the mountain to visit the stunning Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, the tallest in Wales.It's only a 3 mile walk as the crow flies, or 10 miles by road. Or, hop into the car and you can be on the beach at Barmouth or Harlech in an hour.
Plus it's only a one and a quarter hour drive to Pen-y-Pass car park at the base of Snowdon.

Pengwern is a stone-built, detached farmhouse set in a delightful hillside position, next to the owner's home near Llangynog. Boasting fantastic views, this cottage has six bedrooms; a double, a family room with super king-size double and single bed and en-suite shower room, two king-size doubles (zip/link can be twins on request), a second floor king-size double with en-suite shower room, a second floor family room with king-size double (zip/link can be twins on request) and two single beds, There is also a bathroom, ground-floor cloakroom, kitchen/diner, utility, dining room, sitting room with woodburning stove, drying room and games room. Ample off-road parking, lockable bike storage and a patio garden with furniture. HOT TUB: while we offer this facility, providing the hot water and electric, (without extra charges), guests need to book hot tub hire directly, from Lay-z-days. The basic price for 3 day hire, delivery & collection is currently 207GBP (inc VAT). Guests will pay directly to Lay-z-days
Please note that this property can only accommodate Monday and Friday check-ins with a minimum stay of 3 nights. During UK school holidays only weekly bookings can be accommodated.
