Benfield is a period townhouse situated in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. The property has many period features such as an Aga, exposed oak beams, flagstone floors which all bring a cosy countryside feel to the property. Internally there is an open-plan living room with a large open fire, a fitted kitchen and dining area. Upstairs has two doubles bedrooms spaced across two floors and a separate bathroom, shower room and WC. There is also a conservatory with a day bed for any extra guests. An enclosed courtyard sits in the middle of the building. Roadside parking is available. Note: This property requires a refundable Good House Keeping Bond of £200. Two pets welcome.

Note: Benfield is located on Sheep Street which runs through the heart of Stow on the Wold; some guests may be aware of the traffic noise, which is to be expected in a bustling market town.
Note: Second floor double bed can only be accessed from one side.

NOTE - the cottage has quite steep steps in places, if you have limited mobility, please get in touch if you want more information.
Please note an initial supply of logs & kindling is provided for the property between October until end of March; additional log supplies can be purchased locally.
Note: The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, this is a traditional fair for people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted; Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed.

We rented this cottage through Manor Cottages and spent New Year’s Eve week here. It was wonderful. There was initially a problem with the Aga which they informed us about before we arrived and although not repaired, they brought us a temporary solution and gave us a partial refund. It was wonderful...
