This splendid big house is situated on a former vast country estate in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Combe Raleigh.
Georgian, Grade II listed and rambling over three storeys, it is lovely accommodation for family gatherings or groups of friends.
The impressive porch leads into the hall, with its table for a half size game of snooker or a small group to dine.
Off this is your elegant drawing room with wood burning stove and a formal dining room, both beautiful with antique furniture and modern comforts including a wireless music system.
The country style kitchen is the friendly heart of the home with its Aga and access to the sunny terrace for outdoor meals.
Off a half-landing on the way to the first floor you will find a bright morning room with TV.
Choose from four lovely bedrooms on the first floor or head on up to the second floor and four more big bedrooms.
The outside space is wonderful for families, with a big enclosed garden complete with large lawn, the terrace with barbecue, great countryside views, a well equipped play area for little children and an amazing campfire area for the older ones to toast marshmallows and tell ghost stories.
There is space for a marquee by arrangement too, if you're planning a wedding gathering or family party.
With fishing, golf and shooting available locally and the Otter Valley and Blackdown Hills to explore, this is a brilliant place for outdoor activities.
There are lots of splendid houses and gardens to visit, as well as the interesting old lace making town of Honiton and beaches on the fossil rich Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Sidmouth, Branscombe and Beer.
Abbots Manor is a fine house for enjoying time with special people and exploring the area, with easy access to the A30.
