A charming cottage near the River Greta in Keswick, and only a short walk to the centre of Keswick town.
With stone flagged floors, beams and a traditional fireplace with an electric stove effect fire, this pretty cottage is a lovely and relaxing place for a family to spend a holiday.
Stepping into the welcoming open plan living area, youll immediately feel relaxed with the comfortable furniture, fireplace with its electric stove effect fire, and the TV, Blue Ray DVD player, Xbox and selection of books, films and games. Perfect for an afternoon in if the weather isn't at its best. The dining area has wonderful beams and slate floors, and there's a breakfast bar in the fully-equipped kitchen.
Moving to the first floor, you'll find the master double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with incredible views of the fells. The family bathroom with bath and shower cubicle is also on this floor. On the second floor, there's a charming attic twin bedroom, with more wonderful views of the fells, though the staircase is very steep, and wouldn't suit the elderly or very small children.
Outside the house, there's private parking to the rear and a shrubbery o the front.
This cottage is perfectly placed to explore all Keswick has to offer and is within walking distance of the centre of town, close to pubs, shops and restaurants. Keswick is full of different attractions and things to do, from golf and crazy golf at Hope Park to the Mining Museum, the Pencil Museum and the Puzzling Place.
Travel further out and you could climb Cat Bells Fell, Skiddaw Mountain or Grisedale Pike, visit Castlerigg Stone Circle or take the Keswick Treasure Trails. And you're near Derwentwater, for sailing, water sports, painting and trips to its different islands.
For the perfect family holiday with plenty to see and do, Fountain Cottage makes for a comfortable and cosy base to explore Keswick and its surrounds.

It was very spacious and clean, and had everything needed for a very enjoyable holiday. The kitchen was very well equipped and the sofas and beds were comfy. The only slight issue was that it was quite a tight parking space but other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay.

Nice little cottage in Keswick, great to walk into town or even Skidaw. Lots of great bars and coffee shops and the scenery is classic lakes.
This accommodation is comfortable and conveniently located close to Keswick town centre.

Two double bedroom appartment, large lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Parking for residents in side street. The appartment is well appointed, comfortable and there is a large TV and WIFI. Clean. We have booked again for next year.
