A short stroll from this Bowness cottage takes you into the heart of the village, and all the excellent restaurants, bars and shops that are on the doorstep.
The Glebe, the park nestling on the shores of Lake Windermere, is only a very short distance and has a pitch-and-putt course, tennis courts and play area.
Overlooking the lake, it is a perfect place for enjoying the beautiful scenery on your doorstep.
The Windermere Steamers also depart from The Glebe taking passengers up and down Lake Windermere to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside.
Row boats can also be hired and taken out on to the lake.
Brockhole is the National Park's visitor centre and has some beautiful gardens and an adventure play area.
It is also home to a treetop trek for the more adventurous guests.

The cottage has a double room and a family room with two single beds and a children's cabin bed (max. 4 people including infants). There is also a family bathroom upstairs while downstairs is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with gas fire. Outside, parking can be found in a nearby car park (one permit provided). Partridge Holme has all the amenities of Bowness on the doorstep, and Lake Windermere is just a few minutes' walk, making this an ideal base for enjoying the Lake District all year round. Please note: This property has a Good Housekeeping Bond of 200 GBP.
