A superb detached sandstone farmhouse set in an elevated position and surrounded by beautiful open countryside on the northern edge of the North Yorks Moors National Park.
With far-reaching panoramic views, this cottage near Guisborough is ideally placed for families and friends to enjoy time together in a wonderful relaxed environment, but is within a few minutes’ drive of the historic market town of Guisborough and the pretty coastal town of Saltburn.
Traditionally furnished in keeping with the character of this 16th century property, the cottage is warm and comfortable with two sitting rooms, both with beamed ceilings, exposed stonework and cosy woodburning stoves.
The well-equipped galley kitchen is accessed from the second sitting room whilst upstairs are four spacious bedrooms and a modern bathroom.
The lawned gardens provide a lovely area to sit and admire the views and do a spot of bird watching through the day, whilst at night time, the sweeping dark skies are ideal for stargazing.
The bustling town of Guisborough, known for its ruined Guisborough Priory, offers excellent amenities, with a twice weekly market, a wide array of independent shops and good restaurants and pubs.
For walkers, there are numerous public footpaths to follow, including the long distance trail of the Cleveland Way, which takes in Roseberry Topping hill.
A few minutes’ drive brings you to the charming seaside town of Saltburn, with its colourful gardens, long sandy beach and historic pier.

Tidkinhow Farm is a detached cottage in a rural location near to Guisborough in the North York Moors National Park. The cottage sleeps eight people and has two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite), two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. The cottage also has a fitted kitchen, two sitting rooms with woodburners and an external games room with table tennis, pool table and table football. Outside is off road parking and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. Will equipped with books, jigsaws & games. Had a great week's holiday earlier this month. 5 of us stayed at this lovely venue. Plenty of room for relaxing, reading, watching TV etc with games area and safe garden for the 2 dogs. Beautiful weather, sat in garden overlooking the view of fields and moorland. Explored the local area and had a great time.Basket with biscuits, tea, coffee etc provided on arrival. Recommended

This was booked as a surprise 'big' birthday stay. It's a lovely farmhouse with ample room & fantastic views to both the sea & Moors. A welcome basket with milk crisps & biscuits was a nice touch.
