Bullace Barn is a superb stone-built detached barn conversion set on the owners’ 10-acre smallholding, home to horses and the occasional sheep, surrounded by open fields on the edge of Millhouse Green, right on the border of the Peak District National Park.

Converted to a high standard while retaining the character and charm of the original building, Bullace Barn features a unique layout that includes a first-floor sitting room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed crook beams, along with a king-size bedroom and en-suite bathroom. On the ground floor, you’ll find a welcoming farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, a games room with a pool table and feature window, a king-size bedroom, a family room, and a shower room with underfloor heating.
Outside, relax on the walled patio as the children play safely in the enclosed garden.
Nearby, you’ll find a national cycleway and the friendly village of Millhouse Green, which offers a small shop, Post Office, pub, and bowling green. There’s plenty to see and do in the area, from family days out at Cannon Hall Farm and Yummy Yorkshire, to visiting Holmfirth just 6 miles away — the famous setting of Last of the Summer Wine.

Bullace Barn is a detached, stone-built barn conversion, on a working farm, on the edge of the village of Milllhouse Green, on the border of the Peak District National Park. This cottage sleeps seven people in three bedrooms, consisting of one king-size double with en-suite bathroom, one ground floor king-size double and a family room with a zip/link super king-size double and a single, as well as a ground floor shower room. The cottage has a kitchen with breakfast area, games room and a first floor sitting room. There is off road parking for four cars, and an enclosed patio with furniture and barbecue. Bullace Barn is a wonderful family and pet friendly property with both the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks nearby, as well as delightful villages and popular towns and cities. Note: This property only accepts a Friday or Monday check in. Please contact owner at least 48 hours prior to arrival if you would like the super king-size bed in family room to be two singles. Two well behaved dogs welcome; owner may accept a third dog to be agreed prior to booking.

Fantastic place. We spent a lovely week at Bullace Barn and enjoyed the large garden with space for football, badminton, cricket, etc and the BBQ and fire pit. An added bonus is the private little island surrounded by the river, great for paddling and splashing and catching crayfish! Had a great nig...

it was a pleasure to stay at Bullace Barn - which was very well equipped, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was most generous as was the welcome and care taken by the owners. For us the horses, chickens and dogs added to the ambience. We recommend this place for a family stay and will return without doubt.

The accommodation is set in a lovely location with scenic views. The facilities are adequate. The owners fail to mention that you are in close proximity to horses and a stable, so a smell drifts across. The people who attend to the horses make you feel like a nuisance for using the access to the property and are rude.
