A short drive away is the ancient market town of Knaresborough, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
The town is very popular with visitors to the area as it overlooks the River Nidd and is considered one of the prettiest towns in North Yorkshire.
There are many day trips on offer in the area, with some well worth a visit including, The House in the Rock, Ye Oldest Chymist Shoppe in England, dating back to 1720, the Courthouse Museum and Mother Shipton's Cave.
Guests can enjoy excellent walks by the river, climbing, fishing, cycling, boating or just enjoying the tranquil atmosphere and stunning scenery of this area.

The cottage has a double bedroom, a dressing room, a shower room, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. Outside there is rear off road parking for one car. There is also a front lawn with a small patio, and an enclosed lawn to the rear with furniture. 7 Scarah Bank Cottages is a lovely place for a relaxing holiday.

This cottage is nice, but it's a bit tired.

Good basic accommodation but with quite a lot of downsides. Air extractor in the bathroom was very noisy (it sounded like it was driven by an old chain)! No welcome pack not even a pint of milk, severe lack of pots and pans (no pans to put pizzas on etc). No curtains or blinds in the kitchen, inside...
