Formerly the home of a mill worker, Locks Cottage stands at the end of a small row of traditional Dales cottages and is surrounded by peaceful Dales countryside. The setting is idyllic - the cottage overlooks an old mill pond and is close to the River Ribble as it winds downstream towards the popular market town of Settle. The cottage has been modernised, equipped and furnished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over the garden and mill pond to the trees and hills beyond. There is excellent walking from the doorstep, not least along the riverbank. A wonderful base for a peaceful Dales holiday.

Locks Cottage is a stone built cottage, situated near to the village of Langcliffe in the Yorkshire Dales. This cottage sleeps four people and has two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one twin, as well as a family bathroom. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with another dining area and an open fire. To the outside of this cottage there is off road parking for two cars and a garden that overlooks a mill pond with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets. Smoking is allowed downstais only. Locks Cottage is an ideal family holiday cottage for exploring the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park.

I could only choose Nov 22, I actually went in June 22. It is a lovely cottage and very well equipped, but I was shocked on arrival on finding it far from easy to park. Cottage in lovely location very peaceful with beautiful walks straight from the door,we had a lovely week,cottage is quite old fashioned inside which didn't bother us but might not be to everyone's taste,and it definitely needs a new fridge as it's very old,view from twin bedroom is stunning and I love the window!a lovely spot to sit and chill.
