You enter this unique, stylish, fully refurbished property and on your left is the well-equipped kitchen offering plenty of space to prepare a family meal after a long day walking, cycling or climbing in the Lakes.
Moving through to the generous living/dining area, this is the ideal space to recant the day’s adventures whilst enjoying a meal or a glass of wine.
The living room has 2 large three-seater sofas and looks directly out onto the platform of Silverdale station, with the periodic passing of trains.
Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a kingsize bed, fitted wardrobes and Sky TV.
The second bedroom offers two single twin beds and of course there’s a family bathroom which has an electric power shower.
Outside, there is a small courtyard area with seating where you can view the passing trains.
Silverdale is an outdoor haven, offering the RSPB Leighton Moss Reserve and Gaits Barrow Nature Reserve on its doorstep.
With walks from the doorstep and local cycle hire, you have no excuse not to get out and fill your lungs with fresh air and enjoy some stunning scenery of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Silverdale golf club is located less than 200 yards from the property and welcomes visiting golfers.
For those wanting more than just fresh air there are a variety of attractions within a 10-mile drive, such as Lakeland Segway’s, Leighton Hall, sky diving or for animal lovers, there are the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis or the Predator Experience.
If you prefer the sand between your toes there are beaches with 1 mile, and Morecambe is less than 10 miles by train.
In fact, the access to the trains opens up the whole of the Lake District National Park, you can climb aboard and travel to places like Windermere and Ambleside and enjoy some great shopping or the lovely pubs and restaurants without having to worry about the car.
Whether it’s floating on a boat or dining in Michelin star restaurants, it is all within easy reach of this lovely property.

A lovely cottage, very comfortable and clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. We appreciated proximity to RSPB Leighton Moss and used the train to visit Arnside. Trains were very quiet and didn’t disturb us at all. As we were not in holiday season facilities in the village were limited.

Lovely cottage and lovely area. The trains coming in and out during the day were no problem as they were so quiet. Only niggle is the siting of the vacuum cleaner on the wall right next to the dining table. Not pleasant when you are eating a meal. At least it should be covered because you could see the dust and dirt inside.Would we book again? Most certainly!

Lovely location for regular visits to RSPB Leighton Moss and exploring Arnside and Silverdale AONB. Lots of walking trails from the cottage. Off road parking in the station car park. Good local information and books provided in the cottage. Newly decorated, comfortable beds and smart kitchen & bathroom. Need a car to get to shops and pubs. Trains and buses are good but infrequent.
