Opposite the property is the Flits Nature reserve that visitors are welcome to explore.
A short drive will take you to Brobury House and Gardens, and the National Trust Weir Garden.
A great base to explore the Black and White Village Trail of Herefordshire.
There are many places of historical interest such as castles, National Trust properties, Dore Abbey, Hereford Cathedral and Mappa Mundi Centre.
Golf, fishing, riding and canoeing can all be found locally.
It is within an easy drive of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festivals and known as the "Book Capital of the World", with many craft shops and galleries.

For us, Rose Cottage was the perfect holiday cottage. We particularly appreciated the welcome pack and the comfortable space to relax and watch the garden birds, as well as the television to watch the Olympics. We picked a different small town to explore each day and enjoyed a wonderful week of old churches, walks, gardens, reading and relaxing. We would happily return.
