The River Wear runs through the city and guests can enjoy a romantic boat trip or a glass of champagne by the riverside.
Filled with quality restaurants, bistros, cafés and bars, the city is thriving at night and there is often street entertainment to enjoy including the Lumiere Festival, jazz festival, book week, arts week and many more.

Nice Cottage with ample space. The hot tub was lovely (just take a robe and some flipflops as its in a separate garage at the rear of the property)
Great for kids with a playground right outside on the village green.
My only negative was the lack of shower as I shower everyday but other than that we had a lovely time.

Lovely cottage in a small village. Lots of things to do nearby however you will need to drive. The cottage was roomy and clean and had everything we needed. Dart board and hot tub was a great added extra. Beds comfortable. Stairs very steep and no shower curtain was the only negative. Would return and recommend.

Really lovely place. The hottub was great, location was really lovely and private, and only 20 minutes from Durham. Plenty to Di in the local area. We went to Saltburn one day as well which was very nice. Bedrooms were lovely. We enjoyed playing darts as well.
Only dropping one star for the lack of a proper shower, which did make things a bit tricky.
