Welcome to our charming two bedroom lodge sleeping up to 4 people located at the base of the mountain of Ben More with commanding views of our glen and mountains. This elegant lodge offers an inviting and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing retreat.
Upon entering Otter from your private balcony with garden furniture, you will find a spacious living area, tastefully decorated with modern furnishings and a warm colour palette. The open-plan layout seamlessly connects the living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen creating a sociable space for entertaining or simply unwinding after a day of exploring.
The Otter's bedrooms have been designed to provide a peaceful haven for a restful night's sleep. After all, a holiday is not a holiday without a good night's sleep. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable king size double bed with 2000 spring, pocket sprung hotel grade mattress and en suite shower room while the second bedroom offers twin beds with 2000 spring, pocket sprung hotel grade mattress making it ideal for families or friends travelling together.
The bathroom is elegantly designed and features a bathtub, perfect for indulging in a relaxing soak.
Outside, the lodge has car parking adjacent, a private patio area with garden furniture where you can enjoy al fresco dining or simply soak up the beautiful Highland view as Ben More towers above you. Every window of the lodge frames a picture of a true Highland landscape.
The Portnellan Estate itself offers a range of amenities, services and facilities including the use of rowing boats, wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, kayaks, paddle boards, games room with table tennis, pool table and a small gym to name but a few.There is a small estate shop and visitor's centre offering local organic meat and local produce. There is an extensive DVD library, selection of board games and information on local events, activities and attractions. Recently introduced on site is a "BBQ hutte" available to hire that seats up to 16 people. Perfect for all year round, regardless of the weather, real fire BBQing experience for family and friends to enjoy.
Located within a stunning natural setting, this lodge provides the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Whether you choose to venture out and discover the nearby hiking trails, visit local attractions, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful ambience the Otter lodge is sure to provide a memorable holiday experience.

Oban 45 minutes, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over 1 hour and Edinburgh a 90 min drive. Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car. Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area.

The Otter is a two bedroom holiday lodge that sleeps up to 4. Otter is one of the favourite holiday properties on the Portnellan Estate located within wild woodland with an unrestricted view up the face of Ben More. You could sit in Otter and not see a soul for weeks. If peace, tranquility and seclusion is what you are looking for, Otter is your right choice.

Excellent ! La cabane est paisible avec une ambiance relaxante entourée de nature. On s’y sent immédiatement à l’aise, un vrai havre de paix.
Le propriétaire a pensé à tout pour que le séjour soit confortable et agréable.
Je recommande vivement pour un moment de détente et déconnexion totale.

Beautifully appointed lodge with careful attention to detail (including a much appreciated coffee machine!). Our only complaint was that the floor wasn’t level which some may not worry about but I am clearly sensitive to. After putting blocks under the bed on one side we slept very well.
