Brief description:
"Varm - the vegan farm" is a living farm for humans and animals. Over the past few years, we have transformed an old farmstead in south-west Styria into a small idyll and want to share this with people who appreciate the experience of nature and the peaceful coexistence of all living beings in equal measure. For this reason, we also serve our guests (optionally) exclusively vegan delicacies (almost everything in organic quality) from our own farm or from our own kitchen. We value aesthetics and, just like our main house, we have also designed and furnished the guest house in a harmonious mix of country house style, shabby chic and industrial design with some elements of authentic rural elements. Here on the border between the district of Deutschlandsberg and the district of Leibnitz, the landscape of the foothills of the Koralpen massif (Western Styria) to the west of us marries with the unmistakable rugged hills of Styrian Tuscany to the east and offers the ideal starting point for both mountain hikes (Koralpe wine plain in approx. 30 minutes by car) and tours along the wine route (Gamlitz / Ehrenhausen approx. 30min, Leutschach approx. 20min by car). Location description:
Restored press house / wine cellar on a very natural farmstead in a picturesque location surrounded by orchard, pasture, meadows, fields, ponds and forest. The furnishings are individualistic in a mix of shabby chic, country house style and rustic elements. The courtyard, which provides access to the detached building, is enclosed by a fence (approx. 3,000 square metres of garden area) and is not paved - only a meadow area - and is shared with the hosts.

Facilities:
The so-called "Kellerstöckl" is a former press house that has been lovingly restored and converted into a guest house. Originally only intended for private guests, the Kellerstöckl has been open to all other guests since June 2021. Bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a single bed (90 x 200 cm), which can also be used as a sofa / day bed.
Fully equipped kitchen (but no microwave or dishwasher) with cosy dining area.
Bathroom with washbasin, bathtub, washing machine and toilet.

Outdoor area:
We are an organic vegan farm and are home to animals that enjoy freedom and priority here. - We ask all interested parties for their understanding. Among other things, 4 sheep and 3 medium-sized dogs live here. The dogs move freely in the fenced yard area (approx. 3,000 square metres), which must also be entered or crossed to get to the guest house - our little paradise is therefore only suitable for people who can deal with dogs or are not afraid of dogs and do not feel bothered by them!

For this reason, we also ask you to contact us before booking / arrival if you would like to bring pets with you - in principle, all animals are welcome in any number, but a mode should be found in case of incompatibility with our animals - we have no possibility to separate our dogs here!

For families with babies or small children, our domicile is probably not ideal !

Farm fresh products (fruit & vegetables according to season and availability) can be harvested in usual portion quantities for consumption on site by the guests themselves and consumed free of charge, larger quantities at respective "ex farm" prices.

Pets (compatible with our dogs) can be brought along, BUT ONLY after clarification of all eventualities in a PERSONAL CONVERSATION via TELEPHONE / ZOOM etc.! !!!

You are very welcome to use the fireplace and barbecue on the campfire or prepare food with the tripod and kettle. We ask you to refrain from preparing dead animals in the common areas of the farm for the duration of your stay. If you are interested, we will be happy to organise vegan barbecues and/or cooking of hearty dishes.
