About the property
Bridlepath Cottage is a stunning cottage with four bedrooms and is a great choice for a group of good friends, or a family to spend quality time together. Set within a country estate in Berkshire, along a quiet country lane, it’s very secluded and perfectly placed for a peaceful stay. The picturesque village where the cottage is located has little more than a church and a village hall in terms of landmarks, however being in the heart of the North Wessex Downs it is popular with walkers and cyclists who come to explore the stunning countryside. However, at its heart is a good pub, just a 10-minute walk from the cottage, that’s great for a freshly-prepared lunch with a pint of locally brewed ale. Fully renovated to a very high standard throughout, the cottage promises a stylish stay in Berkshire.
The space
The cottage offers style, comfort and a sense of freedom by the bucket load. Kitted out in a contemporary, fresh décor with distinctive creative flair added through beautifully patterned wallpapers, colourful fabrics and an eclectic mix of paintings and ornaments, it’s full of character.
On the ground floor, there’s an open plan living/dining area comprising a formal lounge with a sofa and chairs, with the focal point being a log burner which is sure to make those chilly evenings cosy. To meet your entertainment whims, there’s a Smart TV complete with access to Apple TV. Next to the formal area is a garden room that is flooded with natural light from the huge windows making it a beautiful spot to sip a cup of tea, read the newspaper and gaze out at the trees.
The large dining table seats six guests and is accompanied by an island with further seating, the perfect place for a convivial dinner that can be prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen which has everything you could possibly need including a Rangemaster ceramic hob, a fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and dishwasher. There’s also an impressive walk-in pantry and a separate laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a place to hang clothes.
Also on the ground floor is one of the four bedrooms which has a super king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. The other three bedrooms are upstairs and comprise the master bedroom that has an emperor bed and an en-suite shower room, while the Pink Room and the Green Room each feature a king-size bed and share a bathroom, complete with a bath.
Outdoors there is a large enclosed garden with mature trees, lawns and a table and chairs for up to six people where you can enjoy a morning coffee, a barbecue dinner or simply sit down with a good book.

Our family’s first holiday in England was delightful! The restored cottage was charming and perfect for us. It was comforting to come home each day to the cottage after exploring all the nearby towns and castles.
