Good walks and cycle routes are all around and with the likes of Chatsworth House, The Peak District, Mansfield, Sherwood Forest, Nottingham and Newark all within a short drive there is plenty to see and do.
There is a good selection of shops in the village and with the Jug and Glass public house next door there is somewhere convenient to enjoy the local beer and food.

Been to the cottage many times & will be back , perfect for our little dog . Just a tip if you can’t park outside the cottage park in the pub car park at the back & go in the back gate , works for us haven’t been told off yet 😂.Obviously move it when you can .

Lovely weekend away - hadn't realised it was right next to the pub but couldn't hear anything from the pub anyway. Nice walk up to the country park with the dog! Thanks for the snacks, would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
