From inside or out you can relax and watch the wild fowl cruise the pond.
The pond was used to feed the Arkwright Mill and the wheel is still turning.
An ideal location with excellent walks nearby leading to Black Rocks, High Peak Trail, Cromford Mills and canal.
Carsington Water with watersports and birdwatching is within easy reach.
Matlock Bath only 1 mile and Abraham Heights and Gullivers Kingdom.
Matlock for antiques and shops is 2 miles.
Visit the old market town of Bakewell and sample the famous Bakewell pudding in one of the many tea rooms.
Just a few miles from here is Chatsworth House and medieval Haddon Hall.

Lovely spot for a break I stayed here with my adult son and found it to be a good base for the lovely walks we did. The kitchen equipment was a bit hit and miss (cheap pans) but I think most things were provided.Generally speaking a little dated in decor but tbh that didn't bother me and I would definitely stay there again and felt it was good value for money.

Lovely cottage in great location. Easy access to trains and buses from the village to local sites, walks etc. Appreciated the extras on arrival e.g. milk and biscuits in kitchen and general cleaning products in the cottage. Had difficulty in using the fire and television due to lack of welcome pack/instruction notes. All in all we had a lovely 5 night stay.

Great location and all the local food eaten over the weekend! Nice to be in a local vibe than the touristic Bakewell. Cottage is small but enough for us 4 - nice to sit out by the pond for the early evening sun with with ducks. Fully equipped with what we needed and hosts very friendly and easily contactable - replying immediately. Only the mattress was rather too soft for our liking.
