Barn Owl Cottage originally started its life as an 18th-century barn which has been thoughtfully converted into a wonderful holiday cottage.
The owners have taken great pride in maintaining some original features whilst incorporating all the modern day necessities to make Barn Owl Cottage an incredibly comfortable place to take a holiday to remember.
You will find yourself on the owners’ working farm with chickens roaming the garden and footpaths, and enjoying the day to day running of this wonderful working farm.
Look to the rear of the barn and you will discover the original ice house which used to serve the nearby Willersley Castle.
Clustered around a courtyard, the barn is set in a rural location nestled in the Derwent Valley yet in easy reach of many of Derbyshire’s attractions, particularly nearby Matlock and Matlock Bath, Bakewell, Carsington Water and of course the wonderful Chatsworth House.
After a hard day exploring all Derbyshire has to offer, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Barn Owl Cottage.
Barn Owl Cottage can be booked together with Swallow loft (CC418042) and Robins Nest (UK4032) to accommodate up to 13 guests.

We had a lovely, relaxing holiday in Barn Owl cottage. The accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable and.more than adequate for our needs. It is well situated for exploring the surrounding area. We would definitely return and recommend it to other holiday makers.

We had a lovely break at this cottage. Four adults and a toddler in a travel cot. The farm yard with the horses and chickens really added to our experience - so lovely for our little boy. Comfortable stay everything we needed. Really nice court yard area to sit out and safe for our little dog.

A delightful and relaxing stay at Barn Owl Cottage with our two dogs. We loved the farmyard location away from, but within a stones reach, of the nearby bustling towns' Local shops were a short drive away as were many of the famous white peak walks.
