Swallows Loft was originally an 18th-century barn which has been thoughtfully converted into a wonderful holiday cottage.
The owners have taken great pride in maintaining some original features whilst incorporating all the modern day necessities to make Swallows Loft an incredibly comfortable place to take a holiday to remember.
Situated on the owners’ working farm, you and your family can lap up the day-to-day goings on of a working farm and even watch the chickens roaming around the gardens.
Clustered around a courtyard, the barn is set in a rural location nestled in the Derwent Valley yet in easy reach of many of Derbyshire’s attractions, particularly nearby Matlock and Matlock Bath, Bakewell, Carsington Water and of course the wonderful Chatsworth House.

Lovely cosy cottage for a girls weekend. Heating was efficient and the cottage had everything we could have asked for. Everything was super clean. Beautiful location and friendly owners (and friendly horses). Thank you so much.

What a lovely stay we had,we couldn't really of asked for anything more from the cottage, it had everything we needed for our relaxing getaway. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again

Lovely cottage, decorated in a traditional style. Beds were comfortable and we loved the four poster bed! Lovely views and very quiet. It was decorated for Christmas. Website says no internet but there is. Located right near the a6 we would definitely come here again
