Angel Cottage is situated near to the pretty village of Oswaldkirk, near the popular North York Moors market town of Helmsley.
This two hundred year old period property is built from local stone and provides good quality, accessible accommodation for up to five guests.
This is the ideal location for a family holiday spent exploring the North York Moors and east coast.
Entering straight into the kitchen you can’t help but notice the original stone floor which flows through much of the property.
Well laid out and with a country feel this really will be the heart of your holiday home, and the addition of a breakfast table with bench seating adds to the character.
The huge living/dining room has a vaulted ceiling and retains the original beams, but the real bonus to this room are the picture windows that span the full length.
After a long day exploring the local area why not relax on one of reclinable the sofas that surround the traditional wood burner and enjoy your favourite movie on the large flat screen TV.
The master bedroom has a standard double bed and an Adjustamatic electric single bed.
A further twin room is situated just next door.
The accommodation is completed with a wet room which has facilities for those who need assistance during their stay.
Angel Cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and with good quality soft furnishings and deep, comfortable mattresses you are sure of a great night’s sleep.
Outside the property there is a garage, which is ideal for storing bikes, while to the rear is a lawned, unfenced area complete with seating, gas barbecue (in season) and great views! The market town of Helmsley is just under three miles away and is noted as the ’Jewel in Yorkshire’s Crown’.

We were woken very early on a couple of mornings by someone driving very quickly/noisily up the lane. We understand the desire to have a high toilet that suits people with disabilities but it was awkward for us. I could just about reach the floor buty wife couldn't. Comfortable beds with nice bedding. Nice furniture in the lounge.

Angel Cottage is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is fully accessible and the owners provided additional equipment upon request. It is the only cottage we could find with the necessary accessible facilities.

A lovely cottage , set in a quiet position with views across the valley. Bathroom recently upgraded and very suitable for someone with mobility issues. Assorted beds to cover needs of carer and family of a disabled person. Priximity to Helmesley give access to amenities whilst still being in the countryside. As we needed to be from Ripn to scarborough it was ideal.
