This barn has an open plan living, kitchen and dining room, all on the first floor to make the most of the spectacular views to the surrounding fells and the imposing Skiddaw in the backdrop.
Characterful low ceilings throughout and furnishings, decor and design have been carefully considered.
Outside is a patio with garden furniture to take in the views and soak up the sunshine.
Apple Barn is in a great location, whether you’re looking for action-packed adventure or just a relaxing and peaceful break, you have plenty to do in the area.
If you like outdoor adventure, including walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around, while Skiddaw and Latrigg can be reached from the door, Blencathra and Catbells are within a few miles.
Derwentwater, offering sailing and other watersports, is just 2 miles away.
If you like culture, check out the Theatre By The Lake, 2 miles away, with award-winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip.
Of course, the bustling town of Keswick is just 1½ miles away, which is an easy walk or a short 5-minute taxi ride if you want to leave the car behind and head out for a meal and a few drinks.
Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market.
Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and the obligatory outdoor and fashion brands.
Plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls.
For family fun, why not try Puzzling Place, a mind-boggling attraction based on optical illusions or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world.

Great location . Super views from upstairs lounge/ kitchen. Cool bedrooms for summer weather downstairs. Good selection of equipment. Clean comfy and clutter free. Nice to have car parking space and small patio with table and chairs. Good service from owners. Very comfortable beds. Nice walks from here. Easy links to Keswick.

An absolutely beautiful little barn conversion, in a pretty village location just outside Keswick. Amazing views, quiet walks out of the door (and bigger mountain walks just a short drive away). The cottage is equipped with everything you could need. We've stayed three times (two adults, two kids) and had a brilliant time. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

Cosy little cottage, great location and well equipped. The only thing I would advise people to take into consideration is the head room around kitchen cabinets, dining table and bedrooms! I’m 5ft 11 and bumped my head several times during the week! Anyone taller would struggle! Once you get used to it, it’s time to leave! On the whole though a very cosy home from home!
