Dolwyddelan is a charming village right in the heart of Snowdonia, and a short stroll from the cottage you’ll find the village shop which sells all the essentials you’ll need.
A real walker’s paradise with some spectacular routes right on the doorstep to enjoy; Moel Siabod stands just North of Dolwyddelan and many Mount Snowdon routes are also only a short drive from the cottage.
The village is nestled between Betws Y Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog which is home to Zip World.
In Betws Y Coed only 6 miles distance, there’s golfing to enjoy, fishing and plenty of independent shops to peruse.
Nearby you’ll also find world renowned bike trails, and areas where you can enjoy the ever-popular kayaking and paddle boarding from.
Further down the coast is Conwy with many historical sights, from a UNESCO Castle to an Elizabethan Manor, there’s also a charming harbour which is home to Britain’s smallest House.
There really is something for everyone in this fabulous region.

We had such a lovely stay at Cae’r Ellen ! It was such a great price for the accommodation and perfect for our holiday to travel about north wales and do the things we wanted to. The whole place was comfortable and well equipped for everything we needed. We will definitely be back again
