It's only a 15 minute walk to the shops, i.e booths superstore, Windermere train station, which also is the location for busses to bowness, Grasmere etc,The property itself is comfortable, and slept well in the beds, only one downside to this property, no wi-fiBut we where out most of the time, so didn't affect us too much I guess

What a beautiful gate house built in 1857, lots of character, up-to date kitchen, perfect location, there is parking, despite advising on several sites, no parking! We parked our 4x4 on the gravel at the front of the house, off the road! Would definitely return, Thankyou

Great location - 10min walk to Windermere town & cottages.com who manage the property. They were very receptive to a couple of things - same day).40min walk to Bowness/Lake.Instructions for house would have been good (no internet available).Good location. Spacious & comfy beds.Instr
