Heatherlea is aptly named after the heather strewn surrounding moorland of the North York Moors National Park.
Following the road up out of the village leads you through the wild and wonderful hills, valleys and woodlands.
Which is home to an abundance of wildlife and boasts some wonderful walking trails.

Great place from which to explore Whitby , moors & NYMR. Large , clean & comfortable rooms, well equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, small garden, parking space, local store nearby. Kind & responsive hosts . We had a great holiday based from Heatherly.

Lovely spacious apartment. All rooms were large & very clean. Beds were comfortable. Garden & garden chairs need some TLC as it’s a lovely sunny place to sit in the evening. Great fish shop across the road & butcher, Spar & bakery further along the road. Many local villages around to visit and if go...
