The Bothy is a fantastic, detached holiday home, the ideal choice for those wanting a great base from which to explore the South Lake District, Arnside and Silverdale, and the Yorkshire dales.
Within easy access to the motorway and close to many wonderful areas, you really are spoilt for choice for sights to see and attractions to enjoy.
This lovingly furnished former bull shed has been renovated in 2020 and retains some of its wonderful original features, all whilst boasting the modern contemporary design one would crave in a good quality holiday home.
Walking through the front door, you are met with the relaxing living area, the perfect place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing.
Leading off from the living space is a ground floor bedroom with an en-suite wet room.
There is a family bathroom on the ground floor, also with a wet-room.
The open plan kitchen/dining room is the hub of the holiday home, with doors leading out onto the patio area.
Upstairs is a second bedroom with a super kingsize bed.
Beach 2½ miles.
Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.

The accomodation was very well equipped, beds comfy, in many ways everything you could want. Plenty of parking. In a lovely area.
But, only 4 mugs,plates,bowls for 4 people. Really? This meant we had to wash up every time we had a drink/food. There was a dishwasher but seemed a bit of a waste to put it on 3+ times a day.
The accommodation info on the web does not make it clear that the second bathroom is on the ground floor.

The cottage was in an ideal place for us, beautiful cottage, cosy and comfortable, the host gave loads of information about the cottage and surrounding areas, they told us if there was anything we needed we could get in touch, lovely welcome pack, would definitely recommend.

The Bothy is a great place for a tranquil few days away. Beds are comfy with nice quality linen, difficult to dry damp towels with no towel rails. We were a couple, maybe a bit of a squeeze for two couples. Collect your groceries before you go and enjoy the rest! Would certainly return.
