Within driving distance is the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast with its superb scenery and coastal walking, which includes places such as Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Beer and Sidmouth.
Nearer to home, there is a selection of beautiful historic houses to see such as Forde Abbey and Gardens and Montacute House.
The Cider Mills at Dowlish are worth a visit, or perhaps go inland to the retail outlet at Clarks Village in Street, or the town of Glastonbury.
Beach 12 miles.
Shop 1 ½ miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Accommodation was comfortable and quiet, in a good location.Central heating requires maintenance - radiators full of air ?Kitchen could do with a few small bowls for mixing / use in microwave to make cooking a meal from scratch easier.

We had a lovely week at Whitegate View, despite the weather!
The cottage was clean and comfortable and the hosts were lovely. The added bonus of the puppies was a delight!!
Everything we needed was provided. The beds were super comfortable and cosy.
The view from the sofa overlooking the field with cows and their calves was gorgeous, the view of the sunset on our last evening was just stunning!

This is out sixth time at this cottage and love that although you are in the countryside, you are near to a B road to take to all the local amenities which are nearby.
