A stay at this pretty holiday cottage, ideally located for exploring the picturesque Lake District National Park, will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.. 6 steps to entrance.

This beautiful semi-detached cottage is located in the village of Rosthwaite, at the foot of the Borrowdale Valley, in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
All on one level, the cottage is wonderfully presented with a contemporary kitchen, solid wood flooring, luxurious beds and bedding, and there is even space to store two bicycles in the porch.
The property offers a Smart TV, however there is no TV transmitter in the valley.
Set in the heart of the fells, the panoramic views from the picture windows and garden are simply breathtaking.
The area is a walker’s paradise; the property is ideally situated to climb Scafell Pike, Great Gable and the many fells surrounding Derwentwater.
There is something for everyone to enjoy in the stunning Lake District National Park.
Take part in a wide variety of exciting outdoor activities, or enjoy fascinating adventures and tours around the local area - perfect family days out.
Beach 28 miles.
Shop and café 200 yards (seasonal).
Pub 1 mile.
Free WiFi Children must be supervised on site due to possible safety hazards.
There is limited internet signal and/or mobile reception at the property.
Occasionally this is no parking available if there is an event on at the Institute.
There is however a National Trust car park which is free to members.

Extremely nice cottage.Lovely comfy beds.Kitchen high end and had everything we needed.Parking oppositeSpacious porch with boot bench.Only point of improvement would be an upgrade to the size and channels available with the TVs.Thank you for a lovely stay.

Castle Howe is in a fantastic location for walking, great views, good facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the Scafell Hotel being closed and the Royal Oak being residents only and not very helpful. However The Glaramara Hotel is a short drive away and the food is excellent. We would highly recommend a stay at Castle Howe.
