We had a great time in Derbyshire with Amberley Cottage as our base. The garden was a problem as, although there were gates, it was out of sight of the cottage so our dog had to make do with the yard by the back door.

Loved the cottage. Beautifully appointed and excellently equipped. Only downs were no torch as per the house booklet and the DVD player was very broken! Other than those really fiddly issues would highly recommend .

couple plus dog stayed - might have been rather snug with 4 people but just fine for us. small garden great for dog's needs. Nicely placed for visiting interesting places - Matlock, Buxton, Bakewell to name just a few. Scenery lovely - slightly affected by the fog ... but it's February so ... Would recommend
