There are hill walks aplenty nearby and cycling on quiet roads, or head for the Glentress Forest to get your adrenalin fix.

Such a comfortable cottage. Spotlessly clean and so well equipt. The owners have thought of everything. Managed to satisfy a family of four generations aged 94 down to 9 We spent most out time in the garden, with our boy enjoying the stream and our dog enjoying the local walks. We hope to come back again soon.

My daughter and I loved this cottage and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners (lovley bread and wine), the cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. From a dog friendly perspective, it would have been better if there was a fence around the garden making it easier to allow our pups to roam more freely otherwise all was great.

Melgund Glen lodge is ideal for both families or just adults. It is in a quiet location surrounded by wildlife of all kinds. It is centrally located in the Scottish Borders for all interesting places to visit, there are numerous attractions within a 20 mile radius with plenty to attract all age groups.
The lodge is clean, comfortable, well stocked and accommodates upto 5 people.
