We keep returning as the walking is superb. Very few local amenities so plan ahead is key. Lovely pub walks and a homely comfortable base to come back to or relax in if the weather is poor. Great locations to explore including market towns, farm shops and castles.

Great property, lovely village, excellent walking from the door. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of crockery and pans. The property was warm and comfortable. We especially appreciated coming home after a long day walking, to a log fire, lots of hot water for showers and baths, a big TV and comfortable beds. The snow was a bonus!

Lovely converted chapel. Very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything in terms of what you might need. Location is lovely with lots of walks nearby. It was a shame the local pub was not open as this would have been the icing on the cake.
