Nearby are the local villages of Thakeham which has a 12th-century church, village shop and pub, and Ashington with a supermarket, fish and chip takeaway, pharmacy, Indian restaurant/takeaway and a garage.
The pretty village of Storrington is 4 miles away and offers independent butchers, baker, delicatessen, individual shops, cafes and a supermarket.

A well equipped and spacious cottage set in the tranquil Sussex countryside with plenty of walks nearby. A lovely welcome basket and provision of tea and coffee. I wasn't able to use the coffee machine because I couldn't find the instructions - but that was me rather than the cottage!

Great place and location for a relaxing holiday. All the comforts of home with those extra little things that make for a nice stay. The extra dog towels and outside hot and cold water hose was a great touch, especially for those muddy paws!

We had a great stay at The Lodge. It was very well equipped and the welcome pack was fantastic. The surroundings were scenic and peaceful, and the grounds were brilliant. There was even an outdoor sink for washing your dog, which was very handy given the weather we had.We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend!
