Llangollen is also popular throughout the rest of the year, with white water rafting available and numerous historical sites and attractions to visit.
Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible and well worth a visit with its breathtaking mountains offering beautiful views and scenery.
For the more adventurous, Bala Lake (5 miles), the largest natural lake in Wales, is a major centre for many watersports including sailing, windsurfing and white water rafting.
For lovers of good food, there are two gastronomic hotels of note just 1½ miles away.

Crogen Coach House is an amazing place to spend quality time with family and friends. The house is fully equipped to cater for a large party. Great views and private location. The only negative was that one of the en-suite showers wouldn't work, other than that I would recommend this property.
