Lying within the Northumberland National Park and enjoying panoramic views over Whitelee Fell National Nature Reserve, the cottages are former shepherd’s cottages on the owner’s sheep farm, renovated to a very good standard and retaining lots of character.
Oak Cottage and Birch Cottage have beamed living room ceilings and all three have inglenook fireplaces with multi-fuel stoves for a warm and cosy atmosphere as well as power showers in the bathroom.
There are wildlife cameras which feed live pictures direct to the flatscreen TV in each cottage, so you can watch barn owls, badgers and other wildlife.
The area is rich in wildlife and ideal for walkers.
Whitelee Farm is an idyllic base for exploring the Roman wall, Lindisfarne, Alnwick Castle, Kielder Forest Park and the Scottish borders.
Newcastle and Edinburgh are within an easy drive.
Shopping in Otterburn and Jedburgh, both 15 minutes away.

Wonderful location. Warm, comfortable and cosy cottage. Would benefit from a little TLC and pruning in the garden. Owners lovely and the web-cams for the wildlife was a fantastic idea. We didn't see the badgers but did see deer, fox, pheasant, heron, my own favourite being the barn owl. We would definitely book again if in the area.

Lovely, cosy, warm cottage, very well equipped in beautiful countryside. Webcams let you watch wildlife on the farm. It is miles to the nearest shops and restaurants so be well organised. Friendly, welcoming hosts.It is in a dark sky area so if you are lucky enough to get a clear night the stars are tremendous.

We were looking for a cottage to have a quiet week away, all we could hear was birdsong. Lovely part of the country, can be a bit of a drive to somewhere. Wildlife cams were a nice addition and my son loved watching them, saw deer a few times. John and Jill were lovely.
