East Tawas - 3 Bedroom Rustic Cabin with Lake Huron Views

Just minutes from downtown East Tawas and all of the dining, shopping, beaches and other activities offered locally, Poplar is a great retreat for a weekend or a week!


The Space
Poplar is a rustic three-bedroom , one bath cottage situated on a large open lot within walking distance to Lake Huron. The cabin features 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a fully stocked kitchen with an electric range, a refrigerator, dishwasher, pots and pans, silverware, dishes, a toaster and a microwave — not to mention plenty of counter-top workspace. A combined Living / Dining area has plenty of seating, a flat screen tv and wifi. A stackable washer / dryer is included for your use as well. There are two outdoor screened – in porch areas. A smaller entry area ideal for morning coffee and a larger rear area perfect for outdoor dinners and gatherings. The cabin is heated in the colder months, plus an electric fireplace also keeps you warm and toasty.

The Neighborhood
Although a small city, East Tawas has a very lively downtown featuring many small specialty shops, restaurants and bars. Be sure to visit the Tawas Point Lighthouse or play a round of golf on many of the local golf courses. The Tawas Bay area plays host to many community events and festivals throughout the year. From the Blues By the Bay and SummerFest to the Tawas Birding Festival, Perchville USA and the annual Tawas Bay Waterfront Fine Arts Festival. The calendar is brimming with activities and events for all ages. The water and beaches of Tawas Bay are perfect for all kinds of recreation. The bay is perfect for sailing, paddling, fishing, power boating, wave runners and is recognized as a premier kiteboarding destination. A gradual dropoff from the beach to the bay makes it a fantastic family beach with lots of room for kids of all ages to play, picnic and relax.
