South of the city of Garda there is the hill of the Rocca. On this fortress, where a castle once stood, in 950 Queen Adelaide of Burgundy, widow of the King of Italy Lotario II, was held captive by Berengario II, but managed to escape and became queen of the Holy Roman Empire in 973.
Casa Adelaide is located a few meters from the lakefront dedicated to her and from which you can still admire the Rocca, where the castle once stood: it is built in local stone, spread over four floors (total 65 square meters) and the ceilings are characteristic wood beams. On the ground floor there are two French doors, a beautiful fireplace (not usable) and a window, from which you can glimpse the lake. Here is the living room with satellite TV, with a nice sofa, which can open up and become a double bed if necessary; small bathroom with a comfortable shower. You go up to the first floor and there is a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, 4 burner stove, oven, washing machine), table with chairs. On the upper floor there is a bedroom with two single beds and on the top floor the double bedroom with TV and en-suite bathroom with shower. Air conditioning coming down from the top floor, wooden floors in the bedrooms, tiled and terracotta floors in the living area. Parking agreement at approx. 500 meters. Ideal for those who want to enjoy the characteristic life and shops of the town center, the nearby beaches, walks and the beautiful landscapes that the Gulf of Garda offers.
