The 17th century house is located on the edge of the village. Restored in 2020, it has retained the authentic charm of the houses of the Périgord. The view from the house extends over the surrounding countryside with fields and cows.
The detached holiday home offers 75 m² of living space for 4 people. On the lower living level there is a large living room with an open-plan kitchen. The seating area with sofas and dining table is grouped around the old traditional fireplace, which is equipped with a wood-burning stove. Here you can spend cosy evenings. You also have a flat-screen TV (satellite TV DVB-T), WIFI, a radio and a DVD player at your disposal. The kitchen behind is equipped with a ceramic hob, extractor bonnet, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and all the necessary kitchen utensils. The bedrooms are on the other side of the house. The first bedroom is furnished with two single beds (90 x 190 cm), dressing table, wardrobe and two chairs. The second bedroom has a wardrobe painted with floral motifs, two chairs and two single beds (90 x 190 cm). It is possible to add another single bed to the room. The mattresses are as good as new. In the hallway leading to the bedrooms, there is a bathroom with a walk-in shower and washbasin as well as a separate WC. The holiday home has a large fenced garden of 500 m². Garden furniture is available in the old, open barn and you can have your meals or barbecue here in summer.
A baby equipment with bed, high chair, bath tub and children's crockery is available on request. Pets are welcome and tourist information material organised by theme is also available for guests.
At the foot of the castle in the village is a lake with a sandy beach and shady meadows for swimming in summer. There are numerous hiking trails around the village and in the surrounding communities. The location in the Dordogne valley makes the house an ideal starting point for exploring the Périgord and its sights, many of which are within a radius of 25 kilometres. When you return from your excursions, you can enjoy the peace, tranquillity and comfort of the house or treat yourself to regional specialities and wines in the nearby restaurants. The restaurant "Les Marronniers" offers reasonably priced menus for lunch and dinner. There are two grocery shops, newspapers and fruit and vegetables for sale in the neighbouring village three kilometres away. You can also buy bread, meat from the producer and locally prepared dishes there.
