Welcome to the beautiful Westerwald!
Our holiday home Elsa is located in Nisterau, a pretty village about 2 km from the spa town of Bad Marienberg.
From the Limburg, Montabaur, and Herborn motorway exits, it's about a 25 to 30 km drive to the holiday home.
The entrance to the house is at ground level, with only a low step inside.
A beautiful covered terrace with seating and barbecue facilities invites you to relax.
Inside the house, you will find a cozy living-dining room with a sofa bed for one person, a small fully equipped kitchen,
a bedroom with a double bed, and a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and a bathtub with a shower screen.
The quiet location on the outskirts of the village allows for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Access to hiking and cycling trails is conveniently reachable within a few meters at the beginning of a nature reserve with a beautiful stream, a basalt lake (not for swimming), and a quarry.
Numerous other recreational activities can be found in the nearby surroundings.
Bad Marienberg offers a very beautiful wildlife park with an observation tower, a large children's playground, a well-developed climbing forest, a fitness trail, and good dining options.
Additionally, there is an opportunity to play mini golf, walk a barefoot path, or visit the adventure pool with a sauna village.
In winter, a ski lift and groomed cross-country ski trails invite you.
Further ski lifts can be found in Kirburg, about 5 km away, and in Höhn, about 6 km away.
Golfers will also get their money's worth; in Stahlhofen am Wiesensee (a swimming lake), about 11 km away, a well-maintained 18-hole golf course invites you to active relaxation. A visit to a cinema and the exploration of a beautiful old town with a castle is possible in Hachenburg, about 15 km away. Not far from Hachenburg, the visit to Marienstatt Abbey with its adjacent beer garden, brewery, and numerous hiking trails is also tempting. We are happy to be your starting point for many wonderful activities that will make your holiday in the beautiful Westerwald an experience. Your four-legged or feathered family members are also welcome, provided they do not use the beds and upholstered furniture.
