The well-maintained property EVA offers a magnificent view across the Souda Bay and is situated in a quiet and idyllic location on the slopes of the Apokoronou Cape, some kilometres east of the city of Chania. The village Kambia lies picturesquely on the northern slopes of the Cape, above the beautiful, fine sandy beach and the town Almirida. Kambia used to be a sleepy little village which has now grown into a holiday home community. The nice duplex house lies outside the closed community, in a quiet and calm surrounding with a wonderful panoramic view towards the mountains, across the sea and the Souda Bay. Each part of the duplex house has a separate entrance.
The German landlord couple lives in one half of the duplex. The beautiful holiday domicile is set on a natural property which is overgrown with Mediterranean plants and olive trees.
The tastefully furnished Maisonette apartment EVA has a ground level entrance. The cosy living room is adjoining to the open kitchen corner and the bath. From the living room there is direct access to the large, roofed terrace with a wonderful sea view. A wooden staircase is leading to the semi-open bedroom on the gallery above the living room. From the bed you also have a nice sea view.
At the seashore of Almirida life is pulsating during midsummer. During the other seasons it is more contemplative. Many taverns, cafés, shops and beach bars offer a variety of amenities in close proximity and make a nice change to the quiet location of the holiday house. Cash dispensers are also available here. Chania, the “most beautiful city” on Crete is about 30 km away. Chania is a picturesque and lively city, directly at the sea with a beautiful ancient city centre. Romans, Saracens, Byzantines, Venetians, Genoese and Turks have all left – Chania remained. Their legacy are the winding alleys of the ancient city centre – there are many small places, neat Venetian town houses and other sights and places of interest.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut eingerichtet , es fehlte an nichts . Es war auch an Kleinigkeiten gedacht . Die Lage war fantastisch , sehr ruhig und erholsam . Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und dabei nicht aufdringlich . Sie standen uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite . Im ganzen eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft .

Wr, zwei Erwachsene ein 6-Jahre altes Kind, verbrachten eine sehr erholsamen Woche Anfang Mai mit traumhaften Blick über Bucht von Chania. Mit zahlreichen Ausflugstipps unserer Gastgeber versogt, haben wir tagsüber viel (mit dem Mietwage) entdeckt und genossen am Abend die Ruhe über dem Ort. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We loved to wind down in this little cozy apartment in the hills above Plaka. The place had everything we needed, it was super clean and comfy. The only thing we would have liked to be different is, that the decision wether we need the heat on should lie in our own hands. We rather pay a higher rent and have this included, it would make things easier.
